Kalla is a Croatian fashion brand that specializes in handmade women's bags and backpacks. The overall story behind this inspirational brand focuses on minimalism, elegance and use of vegan materials - combining the idea of sustainability and cruelty free production. Although the brand is from Croatia, purchase is possible from all over the world, which makes its social media profiles fundamental for all selling activities. The main determinant of the Kalla brand is production in small quantities, by waiting list system, providing the alternative to mass production and its impacts.
Challenge
Creating an Instagram feed for the Kalla brand has posed the challenge of communicating the brand philosophy itself and creating a desirable visual platform for those who share Kalla values while enjoying a simple and functional design. Instagram visuals certainly needed to follow the fashion style of the owner. Petra is the most common model for her products and she enjoys quality photography as well as displaying products in a modern and minimalistic way.
Solution
We mainly focused on the color inspiration behind each bag model. In addition to the inevitable photographs of the products themselves, we decided to incorporate the inspirational story that preceded their creation, and whose colors are most commonly found in nature. To round off the theme, the third in a row photo represents the “real life“ situations of outfits completed with Kalla bag. This brings the constant fashion inspiration, either by the owner herself or by the clients who have taken their Kalla bag for an adventure and decided to share the photos.
