Social media management didn’t seem that difficult when you’ve dived into it, but after a few devastating results, you seem to re-evaluate your decisions? ? Maybe everyone can run a business social media profile, but not everyone can be effective at it. You are here to learn something new, and that’s already a positive insight of your managing skills.

It doesn’t matter if you’re running a social media profile for your own business or someone else’s, the mission is the same – expand the number of followers and secure their engagement. A strong community on a social media channel will ensure a good image of your brand and ultimately transform all those followers into customers with a firmly-built trust in your product or service.

Beginnings are not easy, and I just wanted to share with you what I wish someone have said to me before stepping into the social media adventure I’ve singed for.

1. Your niche is too big!

You once read about how great it is to be present on as many social media platforms, since the visibility is always desirable? Not true! Ok, it is advisable to be visible, but if you are visible where no one is interested in your offer, it is almost as if you are invisible. For this reason, use your resources wisely. Decide where is the hot spot for your industry, and invest your time there. Sometimes focusing on only 1 or 2 channels is a wise choice.

2. You don’t have a defined audience!

You are targeting everyone, male and female, 18+ and 65+ living in Croatia, Europe, the world… No wonder your message doesn’t reach people who are actually interested in what you have to offer. ? Try to narrow your target group or divide it into the two most important ones. This will allow you to adjust your content and advertise it differently.

3. Previše se opterećuješ brojkama!

It’s great to have a bunch of followers, but only if they are eager to communicate and actively respond to whatever you’re posting. If you overburden yourself with numbers and use suspicious tactics for collecting followers, you will only find it difficult to do business in the future.

Our advice is to initially maximize your focus on social media content and followers will come naturally.

4. You are only interested in selling!

Before you start creating content, think carefully about what YOU like to consume on different social media profiles. If you are constantly pushing sales, soon you will bore all those people who already gave you their trust. Do your best to create informative and entertaining content that will inspire or teach your follower something useful. That way they’ll stay hungry for more!

5. You leave out the analysis!

Test, test and retest! At first, it is much harder to predict the behaviour of your followers and understand why some of the posts have failed and others have not. Social media advertising can be a powerful tool, but only if you use it properly and turn every mistake into a meaningful lesson.

If you think social media management is still too much of a bite for now, that is totally fine. ? You can always seek help in the beginning and direct your energy to an area where your knowledge will be more useful.
Anyways, we wish you a successful profile, engaged followers and fulfilled goals!
